Privacy Notice

Last updated: 29 May 2026

This notice explains what information FractionsGC collects when you visit this website or contact us, how we use it, how long we keep it, and your rights. The notice is written to be consistent with general expectations under the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), and the People's Republic of China Personal Information Protection Law (PIPL).

Who we are

FractionsGC is an advisory practice that provides fractional General Counsel services in the United States and business/strategic advisory services in Hong Kong and Greater China. The data controller for the purposes of this notice is FractionsGC. You can contact us at [email protected].

What we collect

How we use it

Our legal bases for processing (where GDPR applies) are our legitimate interests in responding to inquiries and operating the website, and, where you proactively contact us, your consent. Under PIPL, we rely on your consent (which you provide by contacting us) and the necessity of processing to provide the services you request.

How long we keep it

Email correspondence is retained for as long as is reasonably necessary to respond and, where an engagement results, for the duration of the engagement plus a reasonable period for record-keeping, conflicts-checking, and applicable professional-responsibility obligations. Server logs are retained for short periods consistent with the hosting provider's standard practice.

Sharing with third parties

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with: (a) service providers that help us operate the website (currently Cloudflare for hosting and email forwarding, and Google for email services); (b) professional advisors such as accountants or counsel where reasonably necessary; and (c) authorities where required by law.

International transfers

Because we operate across the United States, Hong Kong, and Greater China, information you send us may be transferred to and processed in jurisdictions other than your own, including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as your consent, standard contractual clauses, or other lawful mechanisms.

Your rights

Depending on where you are, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal information, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these rights, email us at [email protected]. We will respond within a reasonable time and free of charge except where the law allows otherwise.

Children

This website is intended for business audiences and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

We may update this notice from time to time. The "Last updated" date above will reflect the most recent change. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
